Running your own business is equally exciting, rewarding, and challenging.
When you're running the show, it's hard to take some time for yourself to relax and unwind. We need to, however, make sure we do take some time for ourselves to avoid extreme burn-out.
This year, we were lucky enough to be able to take some much needed time off during the holidays! After an extremely busy holiday season, releasing three collections this year instead of the usual two, we welcomed a chance to relax and take a much-needed break.
A lot of you may be thinking, "how can you take time off when you're the one running the show?" Well, you just have to follow a couple of tips: Prepare yourself financially and Set some rules of what "vacation" means to you.
Preparing yourself financially:
Easier said than done for most! But you really do need to set and follow a budget so you don't feel the pinch while taking some time off!
Set some rules of what "vacation" means to you:
You need to decide whether you are taking a full vacation/ being "off the grid" or whether you will respond to e-mails/calls/messages once a day. It is good to know your limits!
